Treatments

At West End Manse Dental Care, our ethos is centred on providing choice in dental services – whether you are looking for reliable and accessible NHS dentistry or affordable, high quality private dental care; we are here to help.

NHS v Private Dentistry

NHS dentistry has a clinical focus: this includes all treatment necessary to secure and maintain your oral health and, where necessary, to restore function in the most cost effective way possible.

Private dentistry has a clinical focus that is supported by a preventive and aesthetic element: this includes making additional time for dental check-ups, hygiene appointments and restoring teeth in the most minimally evasive and natural-looking way possible.

Both NHS and Private dentistry aim to ensure that, as a valued patient, you have healthy teeth for life. The main difference between NHS and private dental treatment, is the time and materials that we are able to provide you with.

Unfortunately we are no longer able to assist with completion of dental insurance forms. If you wish to have a copy of the treatment plan to take with you please ask the dentist before you leave the surgery.

Cosmetic Dental Treatments

Whether you are looking to dramatically change your smile or you would simply like to know your options for a natural looking crown or white filling, we offer a choice of affordable private treatments and cosmetic dental treatments that can help you smile with confidence:

  • White Fillings - otherwise known as 'tooth coloured' fillings, these are offered as a healthier, more natural-looking alternative to the traditional metal, amalgam fillings at the back of the mouth. White fillings can also be used to repair, and restore shape to badly chipped or cracked teeth at the front of mouth.
  • Inlays and Onlays - recommended for larger cavities where a filling may not be suitable, a dental inlay or onlay is used to repair the tooth’s biting surface and is generally made from a porcelain material which means they are very strong, natural looking and long lasting.
  • All-Ceramic Crowns and Bridges - a dental crown is fitted over the existing structure of a broken or damaged tooth to restore function and appearance. With no black line at gum level and made to match your natural teeth in their size, shape and colour, an all-ceramic crown provides a very natural looking restoration and smile. Dental bridges are a series of crowns joined together to cover or close a space left by the loss of a tooth.
  • Veneers - these are very thin shells of porcelain which are made to fit over the visible surface of your tooth. Providing the ideal way of treating discoloured severely discoloured, chipped, cracked or unsightly teeth, dental veneers are recognized for being a long lasting and natural looking way of dramatically improving the appearance of your smile.
  • Teeth Whitening - an increasingly popular treatment for restoring the sparkle to your smile, teeth whitening is a quick and effective procedure for removing stubborn stains on the teeth that can not be removed by brushing alone. If you are looking for a safe, professional and reliable way to whiten your smile, then please ask our highly trained reception team for more information about the professional Teeth Whitening treatment options and special offers we have available at West End Dental Care.
  • Endodontics - endontics or root canal treatment is often required when trauma or decay causes damage to the pulp and nerve tissue inside the root canal of the tooth.
  • Implants - dental implants are embedded into the jaw bone to take the place of the missing tooth root. Once the bone has fused to the surface of the implant a replacement tooth can be secured to the top of the implant.
  • Non-Surgical Facial Treatment - for more information please ask reception for leaflet.
